Through the continued advocacy of the Sustainability Adivisory Committee, the City of Auburn will receive an energy audit. The purpose is to identify cost-effective energy projects and provide the analysis outlining potential cost savings. In addition, the auditor, Schneider Electric, will also recommend financing and serve as the contractor for any energy efficient projects the city chooses to move forward with.
This latest step towards a greener Auburn advances the committee's goal of reducing the city's carbon footprint in a cost-effective manner. Here are some of the areas the auditor will assess for improvements:
